Bette Midler is heading back where she belongs, returning to Broadway’s Hello, Dolly! for the final six weeks of the hit Tony-winning show that won her a Tony of her own. Bernadette Peters, who took over the role after Midler’s departure, will end her run as previously scheduled on July 15, with Midler taking the stage July 17 through the show’s closing on August 25.

Betty Buckley will bring the Harmonia Gardens to the road as she headlines the national tour of Hello, Dolly!. The Tony winner will take on the title role of Dolly Gallagher Levi when the traveling production begins performances October 2 at Cleveland’s Playhouse Square.

Bette Midler returned to Broadway in a revival of Jerry Herman’s beloved musical costarring two-time Tony winner David Hyde Pierce which officially opened on April 20th, 2017. This critically acclaimed and crowd-pleasing star turn of a revival went on to win four 2017 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical. On her off performances, Donna Murphy stepped into Dolly’s shoes giving an equally glorious star turned. Midler and Murphy both departed in January 2018. Lucky for theater fans everywhere, two time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters took over the role. She is joined by Broadway favorite Victor Garber.

As of this writing, she is scheduled to stay with the show through June.
