Tony winner Gavin Creel will reward SF fans with concert of show tunes

Gavin Creel, a Tony Award winner for the Bette Midler-led revival of “Hello, Dolly!,” will make his San Francisco concert debut in the Venetian Room at the Fairmont Hotel.

For a while there, Gavin Creel was not singing the songs his audience wanted to hear. The Broadway star, who won a Tony Award for his most recent gig opposite Bette Midler in “Hello, Dolly!,” steadfastly refused to sing Broadway songs in his cabaret act.
